Seriously guys, Bush and Blair are far worse. They didn't end the Cold War. Reagan was super charismatic and Thatcher's something of a feminist icon. (Women can be prime ministers too!)

They were both wonderful pairs.

However, if forced, I'd have to go with Reagan and Thatcher.

Major/Clinton has been the worst "match-up" in several generations, as those two men almost single-handily ended the U.S. and U.K.'s special relationship.

Brown/Bush, Brown/Obama and Cameron/Obama aren't too impressive either.

Its also extremely interesting to note that the similarity of Reagan and Thatcher was immediately followed by another "across-the-pond" kinship in Major and Bush, who were a much more dynamic duo than most people give them credit.

Thatcher embodies the fact that women can achieve high executive office.

Thatcher despised the notion that the only substantial contributions that women can make to a society are those that can likewise be made by men, which is an entirely feminist idea.

Both are terrible (normal).

I guess Reagan/Thatcher was worse.

That may be true, and I may have exaggerated by calling her an icon, but still, she represents the idea that females are capable of holding higher office.

But what can I say, Americans love Thatcher
