Does it serve breakfast? If yes, FF.

I went to one while in Kentucky. Freaking awesome Smiley

The people there were so nice too. Unfortunately they're pretty much non-existent outside the south.

I prefer I-HOP. I don't know if we have one near us, but I have seen them up around Vero, which is where I'm going tommorow. Maybe I'll check it out.

It is not good.  It is not bad.  It is Waffle House.

How does Waffle House compare to IHOPs?

Waffle Houses are smaller restaurants and their menu for better or worse is basic simple diner food that can be prepared on a griddle or in a pan.  iHop tries to fancy it up a bit, has a wider variety of menu items, and charges higher prices.

There's a lot of variation between the individual establishments, but most are good and a few are excellent.

I have only been there twice. The first time was back in September when I first met someone, someone whose burial I had just left when I went the second time on Monday (now that I think of it, the time back in September was also on a Monday, the 16th). Needless to say my opinion of the place is clouded thus. I ordered the same thing both times and both times I found it less desirable then the home made equivalent. I preferred the first time more obviously even if it was also a stressful and undesirable event that likewise motivated us to go there.

We were going to go to Golden Corral on Monday but it was closed and so we not only went back to same place as back in Sept, but the place was entirely full, except the same table from back then. It was four in the morning and the place was emptied when we went the first time as opposed to ten or eleven the second time and thus the crowd.

I guess Freedom House if for no other reason than the mere coincidence of two visits occuring as bookends and occuring in such similar fashions as if meant to be.

Back from Vero.  The Vero Waffle House is closed, but I did go to Cracker Barrel with my Aunt and Uncle.

Great hashbrowns and waffles. Not much else to write home about though, IMO.
