Earlier today, I was talking to one of my acquantinces who happens to be in Med School. He is a bit stuck up with a Gordon Gecko haircut and a hoodie that looked vaugely like the top of a priest's garb. Essentially, he looked vaguely hipsterlike.
He started his usual speal on abortions and how wrong they are and how the mothers are awful and how they should be tortued with 24 hours of Looney Toons Cartoons beforehand and whatever. He then mentioned how he would attempt to avoid having to participate in Abortions.
That made me think: would mandatory participation in abortions be good to weed out bad doctors like this? I mean, just on principle he deserves to fail and he will probably be an awful doctor too. An easy way to rid medicine of him and his kind would be to have this requirement in med schools.
Atlas Forum, what is your opinion on this?

This would probably just result in more pro-life doctors.

No (not a horrible monster who wants to invade the privacy of a woman's abortion/pro life)

This. Personal comfort with actively being involved in performing abortions is far, far, far rarer than just being pro-choice.

No (R), unless they are training to become gynecologists.

No (R), unless they are training to become gynecologists.
I think that is a reasonable compromise.

Is it just me or would that be the most sympathetic case ever for the Arizona religious liberty law?

I do believe that "personal comfort while actively being involved in performing abortions" is seriously the best phrase I've ever read.

No (R).  This is a horrible idea.

This  could also happen.
