Assuming Hillary does not run, and assuming Biden wins the nomination, how would he fare against the following GOP candidates who are currently the Top 5 on the RCP polling average?

1) Joe Biden vs Mike Huckabee
2) Joe Biden vs Rand Paul
3) Joe Biden vs Chris Christie
4) Joe Biden vs Jeb Bush
5) Joe Biden vs Paul Ryan

Electoral maps! And feel free to add any additional candidates.

If Biden became the nominee, he would poll a close race like Gore in 2000. Remember, Gore was trailing Bush by massive margins in '99.

Biden gets flattened by Ryan, Paul and Bush... runs a tight race (probably coming down to Pennsylvania and Ohio) with Christie and Huckabee but still loses, and has somewhere in between losses to Cruz and Walker (Who I think are the true frontrunners).

I just don't see a scenario will Joe Biden is President... Michelle Obama has a better chance than he does, and she's barely even interested in politics.

Ryan actually won the debate on substance, that's why.

Joe Biden single-handedly saved the Obama campaign that night.

It would be close, but I suspect he'd lose to all of them bar Rand.

Because he's a weak sauce candidate.

The only anti-war anti-NSA candidate who has a chance of winning a major party's nomination is weak?

You think that helps him with his party or that Dems would cross over to an anti-social care, anti federal civil rights candidate?

I'm talking about Independents mainly.  Maybe a few Democrats might be pissed at Clinton for being more hawkish and careless about civil liberties than the Republican and not vote.

(And Rand said he wouldn't try to overturn the CRA of 1964).

The only thing people are underestimating is his ability to self-destruct by having an honest moment and demonstrating how much of a joke his ideas are.

Only Christie and Bush would be serious threats to Biden, the others would be quite easy to defeat (especially Ryan, who is a paper tiger and massively overrated).

Christie and Ryan are the only ones who could beat him, and that's if Biden runs a poor campaign.
