The goal of this movement is to introduce the practice of ostracism to Atlasia as a way to make the game more fun.

Certain people already seem pretty ostracized.

How this process could work:

In the first week of every third month (January, April, July, October), a referendum is held on whether there should be an ostracism. If a majority vote in favor, a vote on ostracism is held two weeks later. This vote is held according to FPTP, with each citizen choosing one person to ostracize. If the quorum of 20% turnout is not met, there is no ostracism; otherwise, the citizen who receives the most votes is ostracized. If there is a tie, there is a runoff held between the top finishers one week later. Ostracism begins immediately upon the announcement of results and lasts for one year.

During ostracism, the functions of citizenship are removed, including the ability to vote and hold office. The ostracized citizen is not removed from the voter rolls; rather, he is denoted as ostracized and his registration is held in abeyance, meaning that missed votes during ostracism are not counted.

This seems like it could lead to bad blood but Atlasia already leads to bad blood. And it does seem like it could make the game more interesting. Count me in. Why not.

Blatant and outright violation of V.2 of the Constitution.

I'd think of another penalty.

no need to creat a movement in Atlasia for something that already exists on the forum.

There is enough hatred and bullying, no need for more.

How dare you attack the very foundation upon which freedom and democracy are based, justice, liberty, and freedom of expression.

The only ones who should be ostracized is anyone who supports such a bizarre, ridiculous, and mean spirited proposal.

Yes, this change to the law would require changing the law. Thanks for pointing that out.

By all means. Seconded. But I think the Feds will have something to say about that.

Will ostracism improve my -55% approval rating?
