http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10644839/matt-schaub-expected-traded-oakland-raiders-houston-texansIn the never-ending world of the NFL, the Houston Texans traded Quarterback Matt Schaub to the Oakland Raiders for a late-round pick, virtually assuring that they (Houston) will draft a Quarterback with their 1st overall pick in this May's NFL Draft. The question now becomes whether they will select Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel, who has lobbied for the Texans to pick him, UCF's Blake Bortles, or Louisville Teddy Bridegwater.
For Oakland, who holds the fifth overall pick in the draft, they no longer need Quarterback who can start imminently but may draft a developmental one, such as Bortles, Fresno State's Derek Carr, Alabama's AJ McCarron, Washington's Keith Price, Northern Illinois's Jordan Lynch, South Carolina's Connor Shaw, Georgia's Aaron Murray or LSU's Zach Mettenberger.
In addition to Schaub, the Raiders currently have at Quarterback, Terrelle Pryor, Matt McGloin and Trent Edwards.
With Schaub's imminent departure, the Texans will have at Quarterback former Buffalo Bills starter Ryan Fitzpatrick, Case Keenum and T.J Yates.
