This.

Also watching Stewart and Colbert during my middle school days is what got me interested in politics.

Oh the horror! Somebody doesn't like somebody I like! They must be some contrarian dick!

Seriously, Stewart is horrible. He is not nearly as funny as Colbert or John Oliver. In fact, Rachel Maddow is more humorous, and she isn’t even a comedian (and I’m not making fun of her or attacking her show-she is genuinely funny and extremely intelligent). Jon Stewart is one step above Bill Mahrer, which basically means he is at the bottom of the barrel.

His correspondents are funnier than he is.

The one girl is pretty funny. I forget her name. I think its Samantha Bee or something like that.

All of the complaints about him just seem vague and petty. I can't think of any reason to actively dislike him.

I just don't think he is funny. I find him rather vain, in fact.

It's hilarious how you feel the need to comment on every post I make, even a simple "lol" that didn't really have any subtle meaning to it, in order to constantly hammer in your point that I'm a big mean bully or something.

I don't have a problem with Jon Stewart...I do have a problem with people who watch his show, look past the fact that he is a comedian, and walk away under the impression that they just got a dose of informative real talk from a credible journalist/reporter. People do the same thing with Maher (who I actually find entertaining) and it's equally ridiculous. Politically oriented comedy shows =/= news, and watching such shows does not make you an informed citizen.

Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert, have cured me of cable/network news. Smiley

He's a hilarious comedian, and fairly sensible as liberals go. I've always liked him and Colbert both.

His interviews are decent a lot of the time, but I find the rest of his show mostly annoying.

I rarely respond to you, and the last few times I have responded were either neutral or even supportive, but if you feel persecuted for whatever reason, I apologize.

FF. Don't get the "not from 2006" comment since his style is basically the same it was then. He hasn't really changed much at all since he started hosting The Daily Show, and that's fine really. Though I agree some of his correspondents (like Samantha Bee) are funnier than he is.

Interesting, no viewership was able to answer more than 50% of the questions correctly...

It's besides the point, knowing the answers to current affairs trivia questions does not make you informed. I would imagine that very few people who get their news strictly from Jon Stewart could offer much insight to a discussion on any particular topic.
