Under our current system, the Emperor selects a person to represent the Region for individual Supreme Court cases.  Not only is this, in my view, an inefficient and unnecessarily complicated procedure, but to appoint a current officeholder to the position of Defender of the Realm violates the federal Constitution's prohibition on the holding of multiple offices.  I realize that Jbrase may currently be the only one available to fill this roll, but this is an error that must be corrected as soon as possible for the sake of future cases, and that is why I moved this bill to the emergency slot.

I will use my power as Speaker to request UC so that this crisis may be resolved quickly.

     We tried something like this in the past and it didn't work, but the issues that Scott has pointed out with the law are pretty critical, and I really like some of the implementation here. Now I hate to rain on the UC parade, but I would suggest against using the term "Southeast". Legally, no place by that name exists.
