Usually no, but I'm tired of jeans and khakis, and Oklahoma is pretty unpredictable.

Yes, in fact I'm taking a geography class right now to learn about different climates around the world, and later will take an Earth Science class.

I do have some interest in weather, and in earth science in general.

When I was little I especially loved snow (as I still do), and i was very curious about tornadoes.

not the science of it, but as it relates to the calendar and to my biography, record highs and lows, yes.

I was obsessed with the Weather Channel when I was growing up.  Right now I don't really keep up with the weekly forecasts or whatever, but weather in general is still an interesting topic.

Not really.  I've never been very interested in Earth science in general, sad to say.

For me, there are two days and two days only: the days you go out cycling or to the beach, and the days you don't.

Sort of, as well as in Earth science.

I have fond memories of A.M.Weather on public television.  It was better and more informative than the Weather Channel ever has been.  But it was definitely technical in nature especially with the aviation weather segments, but those were the best parts.  Most of you probably have never seen it as it was canceled in 1995.

I watched that too!  On a 13" B&W TV.

Cape Cod is about to get smacked.  The maritimes too.

This thing is almost as big as Sandy.  Luckily it won't give the U.S. a direct hit.

All this cold over North America and the warmth over the ocean has created a sharp gradient near the coast.  Storms ride this gradient by drawing in heat from the warm ocean and the cold from the land.

Cape Cod will get 70mph wind gusts and heavy snow.

When storms wind up that tight, it moves a lot of warm and cold air around.
