That's probably not the best thing to say when you're running in a Senate race... In Iowa.

He's (Braley) jumping on these comments quickly, not sure that'll work, but its probably the right way to go.

Not to mention that Grassley just owns a farm. It's not like he decided one day to run for congress after a long career of farming: he ran for election almost as soon as he got out of college (Iowa House of Rep in 1959). He has a P.H.D., and to characterize him as just a "farmer" is pretty ignorant of the facts.

And that's probably the last time I'll come to the defense of Chuck Grassley.

What an awful ad, Republicans deserve to lose if this is what they're throwing out there. A more effective ad would LITERALLY just be the clip.

Is Joni Ernst strong?

She's pretty awful, judging by the lamb castration ad she put out. I feel like Mark Jacobs or Matt Whittaker could take on Braley, but Ernst v. Braley would end up in a Braley win.

I do too. she has a crazy stare, and she pauses oddly. I can't shake it.
