A few nights ago, I was on one of my 'Ambien highs,' so I thought I'd have a little fun with it.  I laid back in my couch and played several YouTube videos with the laptop up close to my face.  Everything was completely dark except for the monitor.

By the end of the last video (and I don't remember if I even finished it), I could barely keep my eyes open, so I put the laptop down and fell asleep.

Now what's weird is, for the next two days and a half days, I didn't feel 'myself' anymore.  I felt like everything was new, even though nothing had changed.  I could think clearer and more logically and I felt more at peace than I had been in months.  The Ambien was still 'there,' but I wasn't tired.  Now the effect is starting to wear off and I want to try it again soon.

And before you ask, neither does masturbation.

These things can all be healthy and cathartic, but they're all different things.  It's important to recognize that.  There's meditation, there's getting high and spacing out, and there's masturbating.    All good.  All different.
