What happens if two candidates are tied for the least votes (as is the case with me and Simfan after Mechaman's vote)? Does it go by second preferences?

I believe it would go by who was ahead in the previous round.

It's still a complete toss-up between Alfred and Simfan. Simfan would beat Alfred 53%-47%, but Alfred would beat Deus 54%-46%, and the next to final round is damn close (Deus only beats Simfan due to first prefs)

If Simfan-Deus had made it to the final round, then Simfan would beat him 62%-38%.

Maxwell, how does that translate in terms of raw votes? I know there are a good number of exhausted votes in each situation.

Could we possibly get the current result with all the counts displayed? Tongue

Especailly since that middle one seems to matter most.

I've just been counting in a shortcut sort of way by relative preferences, so I don't have the earlier round results, but for the next-to-last round I have :

Alfred  39
Simfan 34
Deus 31

last round:
Simfan 53
Alfred 46

So what percentage actually thought the election was over at midnight, at midnight?

I would guess the same percentage that didn't read The DoFE board. Tongue

Reminds me of the exchange from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly:

Eli: Hurrah for the Confederacy! Hurrah for General Lee, God is with us because he hates the Yanks.
Clint: No God's not on our side because he hates idiots also.
Troops arrive and dust themselves off revealing their blue uniforms

I hope you include the fact that Gass's vote doesn't count because he was five minutes late.
