Some Giuliani Surrogates:

George W. Bush:

"This administration has worked very hard for the American people and we have achieved many things through these four years, but there's still a lot of work that needs to be done, and there's only one man among the candidates who can get that work done. I had the pride of having Rudy Giuliani as my Vice-President for the past months and I am impressed with his skill and his grasp of the issues. America needs a steady hand to solve the issues we face today, and I firmly believe Vice-President Giuliani is the best choice for America. When you go out to the polls tomorrow think about what's best for America, and vote for Rudy Giuliani to be our next President!"

Jeb Bush:

"You see Joe Biden boasting about meeting with so many people and talking about his supposedly common sense policies, but for all the talk there's surprisingly little behind the Democratic platform this year. I think my brother did an excellent job as President and he needs a capable successor to continue to job, and the Vice-President is the only one out there with realistic and effective proposals. Rudy Giuliani offers us a clear path, a path that appeals to most Americans, a path that can help our nation overcome our challenges and continue the work of bringing America into the 21st Century that this party has been working so hard for the past four years. I ask of you, Florida, cast your vote for Rudy Giuliani!"

Mitt Romney:

"The next President will need to have a good grasp on the economy for America to continue prosperous and for small business and the middle class to grow, and the Vice-President has showed his executive and his management skills by handling such a difficult place as New York City. He took a city with had to face very difficult problems and the city greatly improved under his watch thanks to him, so you can bet I trust him to be a great President. If states that depend on small business like New Hampshire are to succeed in the future they will need an experienced and tested leader to promote growth and create new jobs. Rudy Giuliani is that leader."

Donald Rumsfeld:

"Time to silence the nay-sayers, Wisconsin! I said it back on the primaries and I will say it again, Senator Biden is not the man America needs on the foreign stage. Not only he is gaffe prone, the man has been systematically wrong on almost every foreign policy issue since the 1970's and he has opposed things like the Reagan defense build-up, the first Iraq War and so forth. If the Bin Laden tape that was recently revealed proves something, that is that America will need a strong and effective commander in chief for the next four years, someone with the skills and the strength to win the war on the terror. And you can take my word for it, Rudy Giuliani and Kay Bailey Hutchinson are more than qualified for the task!"

GOTV Memo

Volunteerism has surged in these last few weeks. We have amassed 292,710 volunteers at October events. Phone bank and block walk events now average 26 volunteers nationwide. There are neighborhood volunteer teams in almost every town of every state. Phone banks have averaged 1,900 dials each, while block walks have averaged 1,341 voters reached. The final weekend of the campaign, nationwide, 7,500 block walks were organized around the country. Additionally, 3,100 phone banks were held the same weekend. Contact rates have risen to 30% on average.

Volunteers have worked off of scripts highlighting Senator Biden's leadership on the minimum wage, and the fact that he is the only candidate to talk straight about Iraq. In contrast, volunteers point out the campaign's talking points on the other candidates to show that Biden is the best and only choice for President.

While Giuliani's campaign has focused phone banks on raising small dollar contributions, Senator Biden's grassroots volunteers are not exploited for fundraising. Even so, Biden has been very close to matching Giuliani's amount of contributions. This is a testament to how Joe Biden has inspired Americans to support his campaign.

The Biden campaign has made a historic 119 voter contact, projected to top 122 by the time the polls close.

Talking Points

• Joe Biden is a fighter who will work for you in the White House.

• Joe Biden is the only one in this election willing to talk straight about Iraq.

• Gary Johnson's dangerous economy will put Americans on breadlines. He favors repealing the minimum wage and leaving the hardworking among us isolated and vulnerable to abuse from corrupt corporations such as ENRON.

• Rudy Giuliani is an insider who doesn't care about normal Americans. His corrupt appointments as Mayor of New York stole huge sums of money from the taxpayers, and turned the NYPD into a personal taxi service for his closest friends and confidantes.

• Dennis Kucinich has a record you could drive by and not even notice. All he's got is hot-headed rhetoric, but that won't get the solutions America needs.

• Kucinich's running mate is a candidate who used the words "socialist" and "egalitarian" in the same sentence at the Vice Presidential debate. Americans want sensible, common-sense solutions.

•Blanche Lincoln has always been a fierce fighter for the people of Arkansas. As their Senator she has been a vigilant voice for the everyman in the U.S. Senate, and while presiding over the Senate as Vice President she will continue to keep that promise to all Americans, that they will always have a voice in the nation's capital.

•When he is President, Joe Biden will uphold his call for an economic patriotism rooted in the belief that growing our economy begins with a strong and thriving middle class.

The Quotable Joe Biden

"Guy's so scared he's grasping at breadcrumbs," Senator Biden in passing to campaign press pool when asked about Giuliani's new ad.

"Jesus loves you, man," Senator Biden to a man at a diner meet & greet.

"Once more for Blanche!" imploring the crowd to roar as Senator Lincoln took the stage at the Little Rock rally.

"We want good jobs. We want good schools. We want to address these issues head on, in a sensible, common-sense way. He just doesn't get that." in response to questions about Giuliani's 'anti-business' accusations.

REPORTER: Congressman, what is your take on the recent squabble from the Biden and Giuliani campaigns over Senator Schumer's remarks?

KUCINICH: I don't think that this is what voters are caring about when they head to the polls. If politicians would spend this much energy on ending poverty, fixing our roads, and achieving world peace, then I bet we would be able to solve a lot more of our problems. That's not the case, though. As usual, they're instead avoiding the issues and pointing fingers at each other over petty things. I want to change that and tackle the issues head on when I head to the White House.

TV and Radio ads to be played in following states"

Too long has money been at the center of politics, too long have political favors dictated what direction this country takes, too long has this corrupt system gone on. We need a new face, a real leader, someone who will stand up for what is best for America. There is only one candidate for president that can stand up to the political system. That man is Governor Gary Johnson! Served as Governor for two terms with a divided congress and balanced the budget every year he was in office. Political favors are not even in his dictionary. He is the man who will be The People's President, so November 2nd, vote Gary Johnson.

Only one candidate has a plan for healthcare that will not bankrupt the nation. That will give you a choice in your healthcare plans. No more monopolies, big pharma, instead a people's healthcare. Governor Johnson's plan is to reduce the regulation on buying healthcare, allow you to buy healthcare across state lines, and encourage true competition in the healthcare industry. Who do you trust when it comes to healthcare? The government *show picture of run down VA hospitals and seniors looking through medicare and medicaid pamphlets* or charities and free market solutions? *show well kept private hospitals, and charity hospitals* Vote for a choice in healthcare, vote Gary Johnson November 2nd..

Millions are left without health insurance. Dennis Kucinich has a plan for universal coverage. Medicare for All will bring the same benefits that Medicare beneficiaries already receive and extend them to all ages. Profit doesn't come first under the Kucinich plan, care does. On November 2, vote for the ticket that fights for you. Vote Dennis Kucinich. I'm Dennis Kucinich, and I approve this message.

The people are loud and clear: our boys in Iraq must come home. Rudy Giuliani has been a vocal supporter for going into Iraq from the beginning, and would ramp up our involvement. Joe Biden opposes the war now, but in the Senate he voted in favor of intervention. The record is clear: Dennis Kucinich is the candidate who has stood firm against the war from the start. He rallied and led the opposition against Iraq in Congress, and as president, he'll bring the troops back home immediately. Dennis Kucinich: the voice for peace. I'm Dennis Kucinich, and I approve this message.

Bernie Sanders Campaign Schedule November 1st-2nd

Thank you, voters of Burlington! So many years ago, we made history by standing up for workers' rights and electing myself as an Independent. Then, we made history by electing myself once again as an Independent Senator, finally wresting control of the Senate seat from a party that supports overseas invasions and opposes aid to the poor. The Democratic alternative does not have much to offer except for mealy-mouthed murmurs of workers' rights and a gradual approach to peace. To that, I say, let's make history one last time and elect a third-party President!

November 1st
- Barnstorming and GOVT in Brattleboro, VT
- Barnstorming in Springfield, VT
- Barnstorming and GOTV in Montpelier, VT
- Barnstorming in Winooski, VT
- Rally and speech in Burlington, VT

November 2nd
- Flight to Cleveland, OH
- Election Night Rally in Cleveland, OH

The Kucinich campaign has been noted for being the most aggressive with its online presence, paving new innovations with the use of the Internet for campaigning. Websites such as Meetup.com have been utilized to contact and rally supporters from across the nation, measuring how much grassroots strength exists in different states. A large list of potential voters has been collected over time and are being regularly contacted for the latest campaign developments. A considerable amount of resources have been spent on advertising on various websites, an inexpensive method of spreading awareness wherever it can be done.

Videos are prominently featured on the campaign site, detailing the inner workings of the campaign, elaborating Kucinich's plans for the country, and instructing people how to register to vote and where to show up on Election Day. "Moneybombs" have been organized from time to time, giving the campaign a quick burst of cash from supporters nationwide. Different groups in support of Kucinich (students, women, African-Americans, etc.) have their own pages on the website, and supporters are rallying to maximize turnout in all states. The campaign expects a boost from their online efforts when the election results begin to come in, noting that none of the other campaigns have invested as much to building their infrastructure on the Internet.

Hillary Clinton

Getting out the vote for Joe Biden in New York!

_____________________________________________________

November 1st. New York.

10:00 – Rally and GOTV. Brooklyn, NYC, NY.

Joe Biden is not the only candidate that cares about the future of this nation, but he’s the only one who can improve its situation, as only him combines experience, ability to govern and moderation.

Vote wisely, vote Biden/Lincoln!

13:00 – Rally and GOTV. Manhattan, NYC, NY.

Let’s talk about workers’ rights. You know you can trust Joe Biden on this issue. He’s the only one who can promise more jobs and higher salaries, because two candidates don’t really care about wages and the other one doesn’t really have a plan for America.

16:15 – Rally and GOTV. Yonkers, NY.

If you believe what republicans say, Rudy Giuliani is a different kind of republican that really is a good fit for New York. But, let’s be honest here: he isn’t.
Don’t be fooled by campaign and rhetoric tactics used by Giuliani. As we’ve seen since he became Vice President, he’s very similar to George W. Bush. And we, New Yorkers, rejected Bush in 2000. Those four years have been unbearable for those of us who want progress for America, and we have to send the same message we sent to ultra-conservative republicans in 2000: if you are the candidate that wants the vote of the far-right, you won’t win here in New York!

19:20 – Rally and GOTV. Queens, NYC, NY.

I’m sure Joe will take New York tomorrow, but, do you remember what happened in Florida four years ago? Well, the same can happen again, this time in New York. So, if you’re undecided between Kucinich and Biden, let me tell you something: Biden can win, Kucinich can’t. Voting for Kucinich can give us four more years of Republicans in the White House.
But not only Biden is a better candidate because he can win this election, no! He’s more qualified, he wants to be the President of every American and he actually knows how to cut a deal! Vote Biden/Lincoln tomorrow!

_____________________________________________________

November 2nd. New York.

11:00 - vote with Bill Clinton in NYC, NY.

15:20 - GOTV. The Bronx, NYC, NY.

Biden is the only candidate who won’t be a puppet of lobbies and special interests, no matter if they are left or right-wing. Biden is a common American, and a common American is what we need in the White House now.

Chuck Schumer

Campaigning for Joe Biden in New York!

_____________________________________________________

November 1st. New York.

09:40 – Rally and GOTV. Ithaca, NY.

I’ve loved being the centre of this campaign during its final week, but, honestly, I don’t get how a Presidential candidate uses a Senator from New York to cut a bad ad –and then repeat it with minimal differences-, specially considering that he’s tied in New York and many voters here may have not liked what his campaign did with me in those ads… Polls indicate that I’ll take more tan 60% of the vote in New York, so there may be many Giuliani-Schumer voters here today. You’ve seen now that Giuliani and his campaign workers don’t have respect for me and other Democratic Party elected officials. So, I have a message for you: being a Giuliani-Schumer voter doesn’t make sense now. Why not becoming a Biden -Schumer voter? Think about it! You have a whole day to do it!

12:45 – Rally and GOTV. Syracuse, NY.

New York is a great state that has been voting for progressive and moderate candidates for a long, long time. New Yorkers don’t vote the same way the Deep South does because we see thing differently here. We’re the land of FDR, and we’ve been aware that this country needs to get rid of the conservative rhetoric since he developed the New Deal. So, I’m sure you’ll choose the heir of the New Deal –that is, Joe Biden- over the heir of George W. Bush when you vote tomorrow!

Vote, vote, vote!

16:00 – Rally and GOTV. Harlem (Manhattan), NYC, NY.

The Afroamerican Community knows that democrats that have been fighting for their rights since the 60s. Republicans believe we have the same rights now, as they avoid talking about equal pay, education or health care, but they know not every American has the same opportunities to achieve the American Dream. They know it but they don’t want to talk about it!

Only with a democrat in the White House we’ll manage to have equal opportunities for every American, no matter what’s their race! Vote Biden/Lincoln!

19:00 – Rally and GOTV. Staten Island, NYC, NY.

Vote for the candidate who is willing to talk about Iraq, vote for the only one that you can trust when dealing with international affairs, pick courage over status quo. Pick the Biden/Lincoln ticket!

_____________________________________________________

November 2nd. New York.

10:25 - vote in NYC, NY.

16:05 - GOTV. Buffalo, NY.

Don't forget to vote, buddy!

Round XXXIV: Election Day (Part 1)

ELECTION DAY: AMERICA VOTES
The ads have gone off the air. The radio ads have stopped. The attack ads have ceased. Election Day is here. The day millions of Americans will go to the polls, taking part in four year ritual to elect the next President of the United States of America. Per tradition the residents of Dixville Notch up in New Hampshire have cast their votes at midnight and the results as expected are close, forecasting what many expect to be a long and perhaps drawn out election night. -- Tim Russert

Dixville Notch Results: (26 Voters, 9 Using Absentee Ballots)
√ (R) Rudy Giuliani: 10 (38.5%)
Joe (D) Biden: 8 (30.8%)
(L) Gary Johnson: 7 (27.0%)
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 1 (3.7%)

Hart's Location Results: (31 Votes)
√ (D) Joe Biden: 13 (41.9%)
(R) Rudy Giuliani: 9 (29.0%)
(L) Gary Johnson: 7 (22.6%)
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 2 (6.5%)

New Hampshire: <1% Reported
(D) Joe Biden: 36.8%
(R) Rudy Giuliani: 33.3%
(L) Gary Johnson: 24.6%
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 5.3%

Four candidates, 270 electoral votes needed to win. The stakes have never been highers. Lawyers from all four campaigns are already on the ground in the key battleground states. Tonight, as expected we will be paying particularly close attention to the recount laws in many states, as well as the automatic recount laws. Another thing to be looking at is the popular vote. It does not elect the President, but four years ago it was at the center of the Bush v Gore case and should, we cannot emphasis that enough, should the election be thrown into the House of Representatives, the popular vote could become important! -- Tom Brokaw

Polls are starting to close across the country and we are looking at exit polls. Here are some of the early results:

What is the Most Important Problem Facing America Today?
%
War in Iraq/Fear of war/Feelings of fear in this country: 22%
           Economy in general: 21%
           Terrorism: 19%
Poor health care/Hospitals high cost of health care: 12%
           Unemployment/Jobs: 12%
Ethics/Moral/Religious/Family decline Dishonesty Lack of integrity: 6%
           Education/Poor education/Access to education: 5%
           National security: 5%

The War in Iraq, terrorism and the economy are the top three issues most Americans are concerned over as they head to the polls. Some would argue that the issues regarding terrorism and war benefit Giuliani's national security and experience themed campaign, while the focus on the economy could be seen as benefiting Joe Biden. Only time will tell. -- Tom Brokaw

Electoral Map: 2004 <1% Reported
(D) Joe Biden: 0
(R) Rudy Giuliani: 0
(L) Gary Johnson: 0
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 0

7:00 Poll Closed: GA, IN, KY, SC, VT, VA

The polls have now closed in six states across the country and here are the results we can project, or the lack thereof.

Georgia: Too Early to Call <1% Reported
(R) Rudy Giuliani: 45%
(D) Joe Biden: 31%
(L) Gary Johnson: 14%
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 8%

Indiana: Too Early to Call <1% Reported
(R) Rudy Giuliani: 39%
(D) Joe Biden: 30%
(L) Gary Johnson: 17%
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 12%

Kentucky: Too Close to Call <1%
(D) Joe Biden: 37%
(R) Rudy Giuliani: 37%
(L) Gary Johnson: 15%
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 10%

South Carolina: <1% Reported
√ (R) Rudy Giuliani: 46%
(D) Joe Biden: 35%
(L) Gary Johnson: 12%
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 6%

Virginia: Too Close to Call <1% Reported
(R) Rudy Giuliani: 38%
(D) Joe Biden: 33%
(L) Gary Johnson: 19%
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 9%

Vermont: Too Close to Call <1%
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 33%
(D) Joe Biden: 28%
(R) Rudy Giuliani: 22%
(L) Gary Johnson: 16%

Electoral Map:
(R) Rudy Giuliani: 8 (46%)
(D) Joe Biden: 0 (35%)
(L) Gary Johnson: 0 (12%)
(G) Dennis Kucinich: 0 (6%)

A start! Rudy Giuliani takes South Carolina, but we still have a long night to go, with many states left to be called. How we've organized the map for coloration purposes is the following: Giuliani and Biden will be red and blue respectively. Gary Johnson will be solid green and Dennis Kucinich will be light green. -- Tom Brokaw

Looking at the map so far, which states are you most interested, or watching, Tim? -- Tom Brokaw

Right now, I expect Georgia to be solidly in the Giuliani column and Vermont to go for Kucinich because of Sanders. Now looking at Kentucky, I'd be a little concerned if I were the Giuliani campaign, same with Virginia. Gary Johnson is doing well in Indiana, but I'm surprised Biden is polling a little stronger. I fully expect Giuliani to take that state, even with one percent reported. The ones to watch right are Virginia and Kentucky. Democrats haven't carried the latter in eight years and the former since Lyndon Johnson in 1964. Now if Joe Biden were to carry Virginia and he very well could tonight, then we're looking at a completely different map and this election will be turned on it's head. -- Tim Russert.

Virginia more important than Kentucky? -- Tom Brokaw

Yes, Giuliani can live without Kentucky Bluegrass, I mean it's better to have it, but if he loses Virginia it will be a setback. A thing to watch is Gary Johnson's poll numbers. He's polling better in Virginia than Indiana so that could be telling. Now, Virginia is a traditionally Republican state in Presidential elections, Clinton tried to contest it, he came close, but it didn't swing, but more and more the state is inching towards the Democrats, so if not this time, definitely in four years. -- Tim Russert

Arlen Specter

Campaigning for Joe Biden in New York!

_____________________________________________________

November 1st. Pennsylvania and Ohio.

09:20 – Rally and GOTV. Philadelphia, PA.

Some republicans here in Pennsylvania ask me “Hey, Arlen, why are you supporting the democrat candidate for President?”. And, know what? When I tell them why, most of them say that they’ll also endorse Joe!

I’ll tell you why I am going to vote for Joe Biden tomorrow. It’s because he’s not just a “democrat”. He’s a very honest and qualified person who’s worked with republicans like me in the Senate, because party labels don’t matter for him! He just wants to get things done in Washington D.C., and that’s what I want too, and the main reason for supporting him. But not the only one. He’s also a person who knows the problems of the Rust Belt and he’s the only one who has a straightforward plan for Iraq. He knows there aren’t easy solutions, but he’s chaired the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, and, trust me, he knows what he’s talking about. Not to mention that he was born here, in the state I represent in the Senate, Pennsylvania!

12:00 – Rally and GOTV. Scranton, PA.

Joe Biden is the kind of man all of us want to see replacing George W. Bush, even if some of you –specially from my party- still don’t know it [laughs].
Why? Because he’s a middle class American that doesn’t forget where he comes from. He’s been going by train to Washington D.C. for years! When we elect him tomorrow –I am sure that’ll happen- he won’t forget that it’s the American people who voted, not the lobbies. Can the same be said about the rest of the candidates? I doubt it, and that’s why I took the difficult decisión of crossing parties to endorse him! Tomorrow, vote Biden/Lincoln and let the change happen!

15:30 – Rally and GOTV. Warren, OH.

The Rust Belt is facing some serious problems and we’ve been hearing about extreme solutions both from the left and the right. You’ve heard people supporting Kucinich talking about closing companies because they “pollute too much”. You’ve Heard Johnson supporters talking about how the State has nothing to do with the economic problems those companies have now, the “let it be” way of understanding things that is so harmful for working-class Americans. And then you have Vice President Giuliani, that doesn’t talk about these problems and is part of the Administration that created most of them.

That may sound depressing, but, fortunately, we have a candidate that cares about the Rust Belt, who was born here and talks about minimum wage, equal payment and job creation: Joe Biden!

18:40 – Rally and GOTV. Akron, OH.

You have four strong candidates this election, and that's something that hasn't happened for more than 100 years. But we're facing some really tough situations that request a skilled Commander in Chief, and that means we have to look beyond rhetorics. And, when you put rhetoric aside and give a second look to every candidate... Who can you trust when talking about critical issues like Iraq? Only Joe Biden! And it's tough to say this because I'm a republican and he's a democrat... But it's true!

_____________________________________________________

November 2nd. Pennsylvania.

10:25 - vote in Philadelphia, PA.

16:05 - GOTV. Philadelphia, PA.

A high turnout is what we need to send the enemies of the United States of America the message that, no matter who wins, we're united against extremism and that democracy is the only system that permits people live in liberty!

I have broke Election Night into parts. I will put it to the players. Would you like it all at once, or have it broken out over the course of tonight, tomorrow and Tuesday?

All at once as in you post the results in one post or all at once as in over the course of the evening?

I support that! I'm enjoying it the way it is now Smiley

And sorry for posting late, I thought it was 4:00 there now... Being on the other side of the Ocean causes some mistakes like this one Tongue
