Over 150,000 votes in Mississippi and Cochran's era is bygone?  Give me a break

Probably more the sense that he comes from an era of (mostly Democratic) southern appropriators.

An era that 150,000 Mississippians don't want to end...

An era that 155,000 Mississippians do. Tongue

Is there any difference between them?

One looks like a fish and the other looks like an elf.

Oddly enough, this is now the non-Tea Party candidate for Cantor's seat:

Also, he's writing a vampire novel.

HP; VHP if he has his vampires sparkle.

I am done with this update for right now.  I am not going to get into a back and forth with anybody over an argument they can't win.  It's not fair to them.  I am going to focus on what I need to do to make myself a more successful Godly man.

Nice follow-up:

Everybody you talk to would tell you I have the mind of someone in their 50's or 60's.  I talk old.  I act old.

Ah, that explains it.  No wonder you don't want a job.  You're getting ready for retirement!

At the presidential level, a John Thune or a Jeb Bush could make [California] competitive, but they won't win the state.

Possible way for Corbett to win reelection is if Wolf is caught in bed with Miley Cyrus.

Do they not have mental hospitals in OK?

I'm not sure. I imagine at this point that they've given up and recognized Oklahoma as one large madhouse.

Saw a plaque while I was out shopping today that said "I like my men like I like my tea: Strong, Sweet, and Southern."  If I were a gay I'd have gotten it.

That's awesome. Good for him. A couple years ago he wouldn't have even been able to make it through that segment. Hopefully he keeps doing stuff like this though, because this is how he built up his old reputation as "the only reasonable Republican in the United States."

By dancing?

Grumps is a sheep who takes his marching orders from a certain sensibility peculiar to lower-class whites. Cultural markers then are deeply important to him.

I will respond to you as soon as I receive my marching orders, Einzige.

Christian natalism is a horrific parody of the values rooted in the Earth. In a thousand years our descendants will regard our religious humanists, and their secular inheritors, as monsters.

What are "values rooted in the Earth"?

Trees that are hundreds of years old with coupons near the end of the root?

No-one discussed the obvious choice: Pope Francis I

 Pros:

* A strong catholic, will boost Hispanic turnout significantly
* Good progressive credentials
* Chosen by god

Cons:

* Poor fundraiser.
