It's Google's pathetically transparent attempt to get people to actually use G+, far as I can tell.

Which is perfectly fine by me, as G+ is superior to Facebook in every way functionally and aesthetically. And of course if it was used as much as Facebook it'd be full with as many idiots as Facebook so I'm not sure I'm going to ask for that to happen. Think of how MySpace was terrible, everyone complained about it, Facebook was better, and then when MySpace started dying and everyone started migrating to Facebook Facebook turned into what MySpace was.

I strongly doubt the world will end in the next ten years. But if it did, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the turning point was the day a bunch of dinguses on an Internet message board pushed a man who can cannot successfully run his own life into a position running one of the largest companies in America
