Both are going to fade by 2016. The IRS scandal, while not directly linked to Hillary, may have more legs overall.

Except it's not a scandal...

LOL.

How many times has Lois Lerner taken the fifth again?

Both progressive and teeper groups were targeted. Quit while you're ahead, you're embarrassing yourself.

Both will be talked about a lot and block either Christie or Clinton from being the GOP nominee. After that, the GOP nominee will drop Bridgegate and keep talking about Benghazi up until his concession call.

Barring any new breaks, I just don't think Benghazi has a clear enough log-line to really persist that long. Plus, hopefully the people responsible will be dead by then, so it'll be less inviting.

Likewise, Christie seems to have covered his butt well enough here that it's unlikely to produce any concrete revelations. And if it does, he definitely won't be running for President.

Benghazi, if only due to the sheer power of the Republican noise machine.

The groups weren't targeted to the same extent.

The IRS also included criticism of the administration as one of the criteria for investigations, which tends to have an anti-Republican bias.

I'll just quote my post here for the stupids.

Sure, IRS is a scandal, but NSA isn't a scandal for Obama.

The "IRS scandal" turned out to be nothing.
Really? Lois Lerner pleads the 5th and its nothing? I have to smirk when a Democrat say the IRS is not a scandal yet Lois Lerner pleaded the 5th. Why else would you plead the 5th when you have nothing to hide?

The IRS "scandal" was started by a conservative Republican. Also, pleading the fifth is not an admission of guilt.
