RIP.

I'm thinking for the Giants lineup tomorrow, Bochy should use Peavy, Lincecum, and Casilla for relief. It saves Hudson, Petit, and possibly Bumgarner for Game 7 if it comes to it.

Is Lincecum ready to go? It seemed like there were some serious concerns about his back when he left Game 2 one out from the end.

He was supposed to be the one to take over in Game 4 when Morse looked like he was going to be hitting for Petit. But there were two outs on the play so they just let Petit hit thinking it wouldn't matter (and surprisingly he got his first hit of the year).

Bochy needs to utilize all of his pitchers tomorrow. Keep the Royals guessing.

Hudson isn't bad, he's better than degenerated psycho Peavy and probably better than Guthrie.  Bumgarner's availability is the great wild card -- another parallel to the 2001 WS, with Randy Johnson's clutch relief appearance on zero days rest to keep it a one run game.  if Bumgarner can eat two or three middle innings, that gives the Giants a chance to match the Royals' vaunted bullpen flurry in a close game.

I'd actually make the Giants a small favorite tomorrow, say, 55-45; I was surprised to see the Royals installed as a -125/+115 favorite.  maybe I'll make a $50 bet to get my juices flowing.

Hope the game 7 is good but I can't imagine the Giants being able to win G7 on the road 24 hours after being beat 10-0

Yeah, I'm pulling for the Royals. I haven't watched much baseball this year (in fact I did not watch a complete game until the playoffs), but the Royals are literally one of those stories where I'll bet the whole country is rooting for them. Me too.

It's hard to get back-to-back offensive outputs two nights in a row, but I think they'll be pumped for this game 7 at home, though.

I haven't been this nervous since Game 7 of the 2001 World Series.

I hope they stick with Bumgarner (assuming he doesn't have a difficult 8th) into the 9th, instead of going to the "closer"

Goddammit.

If the Royals were going to lose, why couldn't they have just lost to the Angels?

The trophy should stay at Bumgarner's house for the rest of the year. Seriously.

He should get the other starters' rings. I can't recall a time that I've seen one player make this much of a difference for his team's fortunes.

After this and knowing how Tuesday is going to treat the Democrats, I think there's a pretty good chance I'll be drinking pretty heavily this weekend. ):
