Furthermore, I stand by my colleagues Polnut and TNF in very much condemning the attempted attack on Senator Windjammer's life. This is an unseen threat to all that stands for Atlasian democracy, and we need to unite in crying out loud that this has no place in the Atlasia we want to live in!

It is a dire situation our nation is facing at the moment, yet, as has been said numerous times these last days, we are a strong nation, we are not the ones to let themselves be cowardiced and brought into fear. We will not let ourselves be brought down by terrorist cells, we stand united and strong, one great, strong nation. Vivat Atlasia!

Finally, as some of the terrorist cells appear to be operating within the Pacific Region, in the state of Idaho, I report that I will reach out to Governor Simfan to see how this organisation can be tackled the most effectively, for peace in the Pacific, and all of Atlasia.

A STATEMENT ON THE JUNE 2015 REGIONAL SENATE ELECTIONS


Senator Theodore Cranberry holding a speech about his electoral future in Salt Lake City, Utah

My dear ladies and gentlemen,

I have the honour to stand before you tonight, and it is my greatest pleasure to do so. We have just concluded an election, I and many of you have heard with joy of the resounding and historic first round-victory of my dear Senate and party colleague, Jack Polnut. All of Atlasia now looks forward for the new Senate to shape the months to come. But not far, and there will be another election. Come June, both President and Regional Senators will be elected anew. My own Senate seat, in which I have been able to serve the Pacific - with interruptions - since August, for two full and one half term, will be one of those in the election. And this time, I will not appear on the ballot. I announce tonight that I will not be running for reelection to the Senate come June. To put in the words of our beloved former President Duke: "It was a fun ride". But every fun ride must come to an end. Ours, the ride of both the people of the Pacific and humbly yours truly, will come to one in June. I cannot end to thank you for giving me twice your trust, and I can only hope I have lived up to your expectations.
