The last CT Republican primary poll was in early May, so it's hard to say what the current standings are. Who do you think will win tomorrow?

Tom Foley. McKinney had a pretty good ad, but he was pretty far behind.

Foley is going to win.  He has the name recognition and money.  And he performs better against Malloy in the polls, even leading in some of them.

I hope McKinney wins because Foley is such a terrible person, unfortunately Foley is going to win.

Only registered Republicans can vote, although if you're an independent you can switch to Republican as late as the day before and still vote. But to switch from Dem to Rep takes at least 3 months.

They said on the local news CT briefly had open primaries when Weicker was Governor but once Rowland replaced him we went back to closed ones.

I like McKinney, I really hope he wins tomorrow. He seems to be a New England moderate, unlike Foley, who is Greenwich old money and is the kind of patrician hack we stopped electing after Prescott Bush.

I'm backing McKinney, and I wouldn't be shocked by an upset, but I'm sure Foley wins.

Anyone have a prediction for the Lt. Governor primary?  I really have no clue.  I'm backing Somers, but I think Bacchiochi is the favorite.

The Lieutenant Gubernatorial Primary is a remarkable one due to the fact that the hometowns of the three candidates, Bacchiochi, Walker and Somers, are spatially located about as far apart from each other as is possible. Walker could win on the basis of Fairfield County's support.

Lt. Gov race is extremely close.  Bacchiochi has ~300 vote lead

I'm hoping Somers pulls it off, but I'm afraid 200+ votes with only 27% of precincts left (with such low turnout) is insurmountable.

What's interesting is if everyone who voted for McKinney voted for Walker (the two were a pair) Walker would've won easily, but he's now in third with no chance to come back.

Towns that McKinney won (as of 10 PM)

Easton   (one of the towns in his state senate district)

Guilford

Monroe

Newtown (in his district, at least they appreciate his gun control vote that hurt him elsewhere)

North Haven

Weston   (in his district)

New Milford (Tie)
