Don't you live in NYC? There is one dollar pizza all over the place. 2 Bros is the big one dollar pizza chain from what it seems. They probably have 10 locations around Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Yes, which is why I ask- I am baffled- the cheapest pizza around here is $2.50/slice.

There's a halal cart on my block that sells samosas for $1/a pop.
