is there anybody on here who had read the book or watched the movie? I've seen the made-for-TV movie with the guy who plays Lumberg playing MacDonald.
I think it was one of those cases where the defendant himself probably screwed himself over. I don't think he did it, but I think people were too jealous of him - ie a handsome, ivy league educated, golden boy with sort of a JFK/Robert Redford look on him and that's why he went down. He also should have tried to be more friendly with his father-in-law and prevent him from being too suspicious.
What are your thoughts?
