This looks pretty good. Would an emergency signal be SOS?

Hmm??

Haha, though, I'm reminded of when War of the Worlds was broadcast back in 1938, I think. People thought it was real!!! Unless that's an urban legend.

But yeah, this should be illegal.

I heard that it is the truth... Anyway, it's funnier if you believe it Smiley

And yeah, I'm too in favour of the bill.

Yeah, I always heard that that was true, but I think it might have been the newspapers playing it up. Ha.

Anyway, yeah, I support this for deliberately sending a false distress signal or whatever. Aren't fake calls to 911 some kind of crime IRL? Should be treated the same.

You're right, I propose this amendment:

Newspapers played it up to make radio look bad. Also this looks good, when can we vote?

Okay, I just changed the fine language:

1. Use of a false emergency signal in radio commercials is hereby prohibited.
2. It is also prohibited to call the emergency signal 911 without a real emergency occurring.
2. Willful violations of this act may result in fines up to $10,000.
3. Multiple violations of clause 1 shall result in a permanent termination of broadcasting license.

Thanks... It was late, and I was too tired to think of nice formulations, so more or less I just typed as I thought.

How is the amount of fine determined? Seeing how several municipalities in this region have taken to citing children's lemonade stands for lacking proper permits I fear what would happen if a silly kid was to call 911.

I'm honestly not even sure what prompted some of these bills from PJ. Some of them seem like they're not terribly applicable or else lack detail.

We can vote this down, that's fine with me.

I intend to sort some of PJ's bills out, before I open new ones. It seems like always when he was bored he started to write a couple of new bills.

You need to give some sort of warning before opening voting. You can't just bump a month old thread and expect us to have a vote ready especially considering they had been proposed in a prior session.

Normally I would send you a PM when I open a bill, but as you said they're previous session, and I wanted these yet open bills to be dealt with swiftly.
And didn't you say you would stand down on Friday? So I thought, it's enough if Devin and I vote.
