Harrison/Smith. Its time to break the choke-hold.

The Union Party must fall! The dreams of Radicals and Manifesters must rise!

Silver for everyone!

What's up with the Cleveland love? He seems to be twice as popular as Cassius Clay ever was. Also, I guess we shouldn't have gone with Harrison/Smith, though apparently it wouldn't have mattered because Cleveland is the new Reagan.

Haven't you heard? Forum Republicans suck Grover Cleveland's cock.

Harsh language, buddy.

I speak the truth.

pshh. That's nothing compared to how this entire forum views Gerald Ford.

Get back to me on that when Ford wins this TL's '76 election.

*Sings the Internationale sadly*

Ah well, there's always 1888.

*cuts wrists, writes "Debs 5ever" in blood*

Ah, well, Cleveland will shut the  up eventually and we can get on with the Progressive Era. Then again, I suppose the right deserves a universe in which they dominate.

Umm again, Mr. Ivory Tower, I'll point out that in real life the right was winning, unless you consider affluent WASP Republicans who kept power by making merchant class "proper and respectable" people cringe in fear of unwashed criminal immigrant masses who would take their jobs and demand better working conditions to be "left winged".

Though of course, that isn't to suggest Cleveland was by any means a left winger, just that your perspective on history seems to be a bit finksed up or with a good deal of wishful thinking.

Oh, I wasn't talking about real life - I'm not that stupid. I'm talking about compared to the previous election series we did.

Well, as of 1884 he's 24, so he won't be showing up until at least 1896.

No surprise that it'd be the same as real life.

Huh. Didn't know he was so young.

Youngest ever major party presidential candidate, as I recall.

Dayum. I suppose we'd better get him in there in '96, just for kicks. The right can watch and laugh as he gets shot.
