The claim isn't that nobody has ever had an accident while high that lead to their death (and if they did they were clearly wrong).  What people say is that nobody has ever died from having too much weed in thier system.  You can't "OD" from smoking pot.

Sober peolpe fall off balconies too.  Drunk people do it doznes of times a year.

edit-just did a Google search for "fell off balcony".  There are 10 links.  5 were drunk. 3 were the edit SAME story about a broken railing and one lady was pushed.

Edibles are going to threaten marijuana legalization. Between dumb kids who can't bake or eat responsibly and processed food corporations who are among the least socially responsible companies in the US, the left and right can find enough common ground to continue prohibition.

Yes, no one said you can't do stupid things while stoned. It's just that the marijuana itself can't kill you by OD.

Of course before Colorado legalized pot no legal substances caused things like this to happen.

BRTD, you're looking at this wrong. The solution is to make those substances illegal, not to legalise marijuana. Protect us, o state.

This investigation has not been closed and there have been no other incidents like this linked to marijuana.  The source says nothing other than that they found marijuana in his system.  Whether or not it actually caused the incident has not been proven, and until the study is released, I'm inclined to believe that weed had nothing to do with it.  In any case, there is nothing life-threatening about the chemicals in marijuana or anything that causes these strange behaviors.

Try again.

my cousin jimmy OD'ed on pot. they found his body a day later. don't legalize pot please! Sad

this is what happens when you smoke even the smallest bit of pot. warning: graphic image

I was wondering what it took to make cheeze puffs appetizing.  Definitely another reason to ban the devil's weed.

Does the OP support banning alcohol too, which causes far more accidents like this than marijuana does (even when adjusting for alcohol being more widely used)?

The fact that it's taken this long before anything has happened is proof of how safe marijuana is.

The Atlantic recently had a feature article on bad things that happen to people in or around fraternities and one could easily conclude that all fraternity (and sorority) housing should be ranch style.
