Looks like David Perdue is channeling Bruce Braley:

A college degree does not equal intelligence.

Indeed. Possibly my country's most intellectual PM did not even finish high school let alone attain a university degree.

Unlike the morons in Iowa, I'm sure Democrats will capitalize on this.

Difference is that Perdue hasn't won his primary yet.

The rural primary voters won't like this at all.

Who does this most help in terms of chance of being nominee?

My gut says it'll be Jack Kingston.

Of course.

I initially expected Kingston to be the biggest threat in this race, but Perdue's ability to self-fund and metro Atlanta TV spots being aired at just the right time have made him the bigger threat. I really didn't expect him to gain any traction in the primary, and therefore, his money was never an issue. Perdue is as much of a Republican as Nunn is a Democrat, which means that there isn't enough daylight between the two to draw a serious contrast. Even with Kingston, there are some notable differences that can be exploited. In a Nunn/Perdue match-up, she doesn't stand a chance. He has to be knee-capped, and now. This is one of those cases where we need an Obama campaign-style whooping that bloodies him so badly that even if he emerges from the primary as the winner, he's damaged goods.

Who does this most help in terms of chance of being nominee?

In the long-term, yes, although I could see this reviving Handel's bid and perhaps injecting some much needed cash into her coffers. As it stands, Perdue and Kingston are the only ones that really have any money. This is turning out to be a negative scenario for Democrats. We did Broun to make the run-off with only one other moderate, who at this point, I'm hoping is Kingston.
