We are entirely willing to negotiate a peace deal with Japan and Germany, but so far Japan has rejected the mere idea of sitting down with us. We will gladly send a peace delegation to Rome if Japan does so as well.

The Ottoman Empire is happy about posiitve reception to our negotiation proposals. Our forces remains on alert, but we hope we will be able to stand them down soon.

I would like to also commend our Ottoman allies.... the Sultan has led the reconstruction of his nation and has been a force for peace and the rule of law across the world. We hope other nations will take note of the Ottoman Empire's role in calming tensions

The Ottoman Empire is a true friend of the USA and we are blessed to count them as an ally. With the advancement under the Sultan- it is an ideal time for a delegation from the USA to visit in order to see for themselves the strides the Ottoman people have made and to represent the American people's commitment to everlasting friendship between our nations

Naval Orders

I order Secretary Newberry to arrange the following:

1- As the Japanese government has invited us to station military forces in its territory, consult with them to ensure this offer still stands

2- I order the Asiatic Task Force to be placed under the auspices of the Pacific Fleet with a Vice Admiral in command reporting to the Admiral in command of the fleet.

3- I order the Special Battle Group already en route from the Pacific Fleet to join the Asiatic Task Force

4- I order the Asiatic Task Force to move its headquarters from Manila to Yokosuka, Japan

5- I order a 500-man battalion of Marines to be stationed in Yokosuka as a rapid response strike force to defend American interests in the Far East

To the Kingdom of Denmark-

For decades- you have spent a large amount of effort and money to defend and administer the islands of Greenland and Iceland. As Greenland is a large island in North America, it is a burden to you due to its size and its distance from Copenhagen. We would like to begin talks with you to gauge your interest in the USA purchasing Greenland from you for $20 million

I propose the following treaty...

Greenland Treaty of 1903

1- The island of Greenland will be sold to the United States for $20 million
2- The USA will be responsible for the defense and administration of Greenland
3- Greenland will join the USA as a territory
4- The people of Greenland may elect a delegate to the United States Congress who may serve and vote on committees
5- Danish will remain an official language of Greenland

We are deeply disappointed with the Venezuelan refusal to comply with the rightful international demands.

The Ottoman Empire will continue to stand with our allies and if the crisis prolongs, we are pledging to send another regiment of troops.

We don't benefit from our involvement, but we do value international commitments. In interest of all involved, we appeal to President Castro to come to the table.


As a side that proposed peace talks, we will send our envoy to observe the conference and participate in negotiations. 


We endorse the U.S. claim to Greenland, which they already control in all but name. We advise the Danish government to accept the generous offer.

PEACE TALKS - GERMAN OFFER

Following points should be fulfilled by the Kingdom of Russia in order to end the state of war between our nations:

a) Russia considers itsself responsible for the outbreak of the war
b) Russia officially apologizes and takes responsibility for the Krupp factory bombings.
c) Russia installs a demilitarized zone 150 miles from the German border, the Baltic Sea and the Russian Pacifci Coast
d) Russia declares not to wage war either with Germany and Japan, or any of their allies; for at least 100 years

All of this points are debatable from the German side.

I must object to the German offer. We have a treaty with Russia and should your nation attack ours, my ally has the right to fight on my side. If Germany must make that demand, then I should be forced to amend our Alsace-Lorraine agreement. France will want German assurances that she will not attack us for 100 years if they mean to neutralize our ally.

Also we shall have an envoy present in Rome to observe the proceedings and if we shoould enter the war, to help create peace.

Despite some rumours, the Ottoman Empire is neither conducting nor attempting the remilitarization of Dardanelles. We have already proven there is no country more committed to the Treaty of Jerusalem than we are.

In case of being attacked we will close the straits for enemy ships and no one should be surprised. We have right to defense like every nation. But we're not being attacked and we do not anticipate attack.
