They're funded almost exclusively by big multinational corporations and the sort of rich folks who have large stakes in such corporations. It makes sense that they'd want "pro-business" legislation for things like tax cuts and making it harder to sue companies and easier to fire employees and whatnot. But how does Stand Your Ground help them?

If anything, they ought to be campaigning against SYG because that would fuel the perception that gun rights were under attack, which would incite angry white men to buy more guns and ammunition, helping gun manufacturers make more money.

Because it was an issue that resonated with the members of the organization, given their politics, and an issue that the politicians involved in the organization believed would help them get reelected.
Not every political position of an organization is determined solely by its corporate funding.
