I walked past him in the halls of the Longworth Building during my 8th grade trip shortly after I joined this forum. He walked ahead of his staff, leaving them in the dust. Seemed like he was pissed. Anywho, I thought he was a dick, and it turned out I was right (he was a corrupt dick).

I also met Thomas Ravenal on the steps of the same building about 15 minutes later, because I mistook him for Lindsey Graham. Yeah. Quite a cast of characters on my trip.

I doubt he's the first one to ever give advice to fellow inmates.  It just seems that he was put in solitary only because he happens to be an ex-politician.  Maybe I'm completely wrong in this case, but if he were just some random joe that got put in prison, this probably wouldn't have happened.

I doubt he's the first one to ever give advice to fellow inmates.  It just seems that he was put in solitary only because he happens to be an ex-politician.  Maybe I'm completely wrong in this case, but if he were just some random joe that got put in prison, this probably wouldn't have happened.

Some guards see it in their interest for prisoners not to know these things.
If anything I think it would be more likely for him to have been put in solitary if he wasn't someone famous, we just wouldn't have heard about it.
