I really wish they had gone with the Portland Wet Sox.

Among those choices, Chihuahua, although I'd have gone with the Chupacabra.

Voted Sand Gnats, but I've heard of the Iron Pigs, and yes, I've heard tell that there is actually. . . a baseball cap with a. . . strip of bacon on it. Ahh, welcome to the PA / OH area. Smiley

That's actually pretty cool - for a minor league team.

I was always partial to the Charleston Rainbows of 1985-1993 as a name. (They changed to their current name, the River Dogs, when they changed which MLB team they were affiliated with because frankly while the name was good, the Rainbows stunk.)

Good names of current teams include the Akron RubberDucks, the Augusta GreenJackets, the Witchita Wingnuts, and the aforementioned Albuquerque Isotopes.

My favorite is definitely Biscuits. I may see the Richmond Flying Squirrels tomorrow in Bowie depending on the weather and my schedule.

Here we have the barnstormers.  I've been to a couple of their games.

I used to think barnstormers were propeller plane pilots, but apparently this one is some sort of a big red chicken, or maybe it's a cow.  I never quite figured him out.  Here's the mascot:

I really like the Richmond Flying Squirrels, personally.

The Giants have a history of interesting AA teams; the Connecticut Defenders had a logo with a baseball bat as an attack sub.

Well since no one specified it had to be baseball: I write in the now defunct IHL team the Orlando Solar Bears.

The Isotopes because it comes from the Simpsons, which is an extra layer of amusement
