Welcome to my office.  I would like to begin my term by thanking Emperor PiT for his service to our region.  He has been a faithful servant to the IDS in many capacities, and I wish him well as he begins his job as our first Attorney General since reestablishment of the position.

I would like to officially report as Defender of the Realm:

In the case of the Imperial Dominion of the South vs Atlasia, the Supreme Court ruled in our favor.

That being said, now that this case is over, I shall surrender my special shiny badge as Defender of the Realm so that PiT can now take over fully as Attorney General of the IDS.

The Take the Power Back Act of 2014 has passed the Legislature.  While I appreciate the motive behind the legislation, I cannot in good conscience sign this bill as it is clear to me that it would go in direction violation of the federal constitution.  As such, I hereby veto the legislation.

Given that currently only myself and Oak Hills have chosen to accept write-ins, the current election to the at-large seat(s) elects one rather than three members. The Legislature Size Adjustment Act amended the Government Restructuring Act to make it so (relevant section follows).

I am hoping we get another surge in turnout. It would be wonderful if we get get to 18 with no declared candidates. An increase of about 50% from last time.
