Why? He worked hard to keep U.S. troops in both places. That the local governments de-facto booted the US out isn't an outcome he tried to achieve. I'm glad the men and women of the armed forces get to come home, but their return is in spite of, not because of, the Obama and Bush administrations.

Yes, there would be more months like this if we pull out.  But then, in the period at the end of those months, there would be more bloodshed.

Whereas if we *don't* pull out immediately, there would be more human life on this Earth.  Exactly when that would begin is something best left up to philosophers, but I think it should be clear to all within about 9 months (which incidentally is roughly when the last international troops are scheduled to leave Afghanistan under current arrangements), give or take.
