Freedom Fighter who has been unfairly maligned largely on account of his political proclivities. Burr supported equal rights for women, abolition, and workers' rights, and thus embodied the most democratic demands of the American Revolution that were, unfortunately, largely ignored or pushed aside by the Northern and Southern ruling classes alike. His branding as a traitor is also curious, given that a group of Texans did exactly what Burr tried to do and literally no one derides them as traitors today.

Burr was active in the New England secession movement, and many people like to brand all secessionists as "traitors" so it makes sense that people refer to him as such.

I was actually not aware of his involvement there. Interesting.

If you include him killing the father of American authoritarianism, he is one of the most FF figures in history.
