This is a good one. I'm sure BRTD will enjoy it.

I vote HB. They built their career off covers of Dylan songs, giving them a cheesy British invasion song. I despise the term "folk rock" being attributed to them. I grant that title to The Band.

Except they did and they also helped invent Country-Rock with Gram Parsons. FB

Marlon Byrd was an interesting signing by the Phillies.

High fliers, who spread their wings a little too wide and disappeared in thin air while dropping sh**t down on earth. Made a pretty little nest egg for themselves in the process.

Robbie was a good guy in the Senate, don't know much about his family though.

Oh, the Band? Eh, never cared about them.

Yeah, but to make it the Byrds they'd have to bring Paul Byrd out of retirement and I doubt anyone wants to see that.

I was prone to making categorical proclamations about music when I was 17.  They're a FB and an influential one especially with the 12 string Rickenbacker.  Gram Parsons ended up being one of the godfathers of alt-country.

The Band was a better band, but that doesn't change the fact that the Byrds were very good.

Yeah, major FB. A number of their classic hits have been favorites of mine for a long time! "Turn, Turn, Turn" is iconic, at least around here.

Making categorical proclamations about music is a major pat of being 17, of course.
