His awful ideology aside, he f#cking sucked at running New York City. Everything that could have been sh#tty seems to have been so. Why would a person who's primary ideological focus is income redistribution, "class war", or anything like that prefer a guy described as such:           'There was a whole world out there that nobody in City Hall knew anything about. . . If you didn't live on Central Park West, you were some kind of lesser being."? I know basic ideology is beyond your grasp, but certainly you can read words, right? Lindsay's the type of person that can and should rightly be hated by all corners of the ideological spectrum save for a select few that includes yourself. Despite this select few being truly awful, you're the type of elitist that would probably enjoy being thrown in with that lot.

New York suffered grievously at his hands, ultimately leading to its bankruptcy. Among other things, the municipal unions ate him for lunch, and then spit him out. He seem to assume I guess in his hubris (hubris so great that after f'ing up the Big Apple, he then decided it was time to be POTUS) that being a handsome and polished upper class WASP was enough. It wasn't. The man was gutless, and lacked intellectual depth and yes, lazy. I know the type well. Useless creatures really.

I agree. John Lindsay might have been the worst mayor in New York City history (though Jimmy Walker and David Dinkins were not that good as mayors either).
