That would be a pretty interesting field, I must say. Even if it costs me my current job, I really want to see a competitive race, xD

I love Maxwell's subtle polling methodology that always puts Labor at a disadvantage. Tongue

Not at all. I polled people I thought would run. Feds don't have many people that would run, Labor has more. It's simple. If anything, there are more right-leaning candidates than left-leaning.

And for me, of these candidates:

1. Shua
2. Deus
3. Lumine
4. Goldwater
5. Simfan

Meh, I don't think they inherently have any less talent than we do, but your call. Wink

Well there are also two potential D-R's, which cuts into potential right-wing votes.

Jonesy and Simfan (Simfan is very reasonable and has helped us in the Pacific). Not sure after that and of course will support Labor.

Conclusion of Senate poll
Senator Alfred Jones (Lab-RI) - 17.1%
Senator Shua (DR-VA) - 14.6%
Senator Lumine (TPP-WY) - 12.2%
Former Senator Simfan (TPP-CA) - 12.2%
PA Speaker Flo (Ind-FL) - 9.8%
Senator Talleyrand (Lab-VT) - 9.8%
Senator Goldwater (Fed-DE) - 9.8%
NE Assemblyman Deus (DR-NY) - 7.3%
ME Assemblyman JCL (Fed-IN) - 4.9%
Someone Else   - 2.4%

As it turns out, while the field is rather scattered, there is a top tier: Above 10% is Alfred F. Jones, riding out with maximum Labor support, Shua, combining Federalist appeal with Democratic Republican appeal, and Simfan and Lumine, both members of the small but very powerful The People's Party. The rest is scattered, a three way tie [Senator Talleyrand announced in the midst of polling that he would not be a candidate for re-election] for fifth may break in favor of Flo should he gain back the trust of Laborites, leaving Senator Goldwater in some trouble. Lastly is Northeast Assemblyman Deus, who might not run on account of Senator shua's presence, and Mideast Assemblyman JCL, who gets the last bit of support among Federalists.

Ladies and gentlemen, if there is a field this big, we have a race on our hands

I guess shua will get my first preference this time. He's one of the few federal officeholders who consistently stands for something else than the broad (center-)left consensus which permeates large parts of the Labor and Federalist Party as well as the People's Party.
