Because it's important, here are the teams I am cheering for in each series.

*Boston. I hate Detroit now that they've taken Daniel Alfredsson away. They must lost at all costs.
*Montreal. No brainer, only Canadian team left, and also my 2nd favourite team anyways.
*Columbus. I think anyone outside of Pittsburgh hopes the Pens lose.
*Flyers. I really don't care about this series, but the Flyers need some love.

*Wild. Minnesota really needs a cup.
*Blues. So does St. Louis.
*Stars. I am still bitter from '07. Plus, why the hell does Anaheim have a hockey team?
*Kings. LA needs a cup too. 2007 doesn't count.

Uh, Los Angeles won the Stanley Cup literally two years ago? Does Northern California not need one?

OMG I can't believe I forgot that. Once upon a time I could remember the cup winners dating back decades. Now I can't remember anything recent. I guess I'll switch my allegiance to the Sharks then. Not that I care that much about two California teams.

There are quite a few hockey players from California. Don't forget it does have 35 million people, and 3 NHL teams (one of which has been there for a long time now).  They don't produce as many players as Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York or Michigan, but they are quickly becoming a major contributor to the NHL.

Maclean apologized but CBC won't reprimand him.

Obviously, as CBC is useless and always in deficit.

I support selling off CBC (which is cheap and useless) and keeping only Radio-Canada (offering a much better product and isn't in deficit). Radio-Canada is suffering cuts becaucse English CBC is managed by incompetent people.

Ron McLean's a decent guy. He's definitely needed to keep Cherry in check. He just made a brainfart, but obviously everyone in CBC needs to be careful about offending any group.

If you want to cheer for a good hockey team, you should move to the United States! Boston, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and SoCal (lol San Jose) are all fine locales.

No. I'll happily cheer on the Habs tonight. If LA, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Boston all win, it will be the same four teams as last year, as well as the last four teams to win the cup. Boring!

Wow! I hadn't realized the Sharks blew a 3-0 series lead (I knew the Kings won, but I hadn't paid any attention to it). Just goes to show you how little I care about any hockey in California.

WE WON THE PRESIDENT'S CUP! VAL-D'OR WON!

Onto the Memorial Cup next weekend, now.

Congrats! When Ottawa won the Memorial Cup in 1999 (in Ottawa no less), I was there and it was awesome. We beat Calgary in Overtime. Couldn't have asked for a better event. (We also had to beat the team that had eliminated us in the OHL playoffs in the semi-final; we got to play in the event as hosts)

I think all possible Stanley Cup finals possibilities would be epic:

NY vs LA: America's 2 largest cities
NY vs Chicago: Original 6 battle
Mtl vs LA: Rematch of 1993
Mtl vs Chicago: Another original 6 battle

I must say, I'm pleased as punch with the Ducks being eliminated. Suddenly Montreal winning the Stanley Cup doesn't seem that absurd.

Carey Price is injured, so tonight, Montreal will be starting:

You guys want Fluery?

I may be cheering for the Habs in the playoffs, but this question implies that I am a Habs fan first an foremost ("you guys"), which I am not. Though, as a French Canadian, Fleury would make a good fit on the Canadiens.

NY vs LA, very cool. Wish it was Montreal vs LA (re match of 1993).
