I’m curious about countries that were influenced by immigrants from America.

The two obvious examples are Canada and Liberia, which both received large enough numbers of Americans to influence the dominant culture.

What about Israel?  I know that at least one prime minister had an American background.  (Golda Meir graduated from an American high school.)  Was she an exception, or was she representative of a significant segment of Israeli society?

Britain has had at least prime minister who was the son of an American emigrant.  Have there been other world leaders of American descent?

Any other examples people can think of?
