Now that HHS Secy. Sebelius is resigning later in April 2014, does she have a future in Kansas politics (Senate run in 2014 or 2016), (run for governor again in 2018)?

Not after working with President Obama for almost six years, she doesn't. Kansas is too GOP heavy, and I'm not even sure she'd have a future in a more favorable state to Democrats (Like Illinois, or New York)

No. Too bad Obama picked her, she would've been a good candidate for Senate in 2010 (not that it would've mattered because of the enormous GOP wave, but we had no way of knowing that in early 2009).

I doubt she'd crack 35%.

Nah. Her best chance would be against Yoder, but even then I doubt she wins given how unpopular Obama and the ACA are in the state and would just be seen as a sellout. Like President Obama said in his speech today though, her father was the former Democratic Governor of Ohio, John J. Gilligan. So maybe she can move to Ohio and in honor of her late father who once represented the district and who were both born in Cincinnati, run against Chabot in OH-1 in 2016. It's a winnable seat in a good turnout year, but if not, there's always Senate.

Sebelius is FINISHED in politics forever.

She's done anyways and the fact that Obama picked her for Health & Human Services Secretary in 2009 didn't help either

Heck, I also don't see Janet Napolitano going back to Arizona politics anytime soon either.

To be fair both of them seem done with politics.

Both Sebelius and Napolitano are finished.

Sebelius would be lucky to get 30% more or less to 35% against Jerry Moran in 2016.

That would be the worst case of carpetbagging I'd ever see. It would make Scott Brown look like a native of New Hampshire.

Sebelius is 65, closely associated with Obamacare, and from a very conservative state, so she doesn't really have the time or situation for a comeback. Napolitano is 56 and from a more moderate state that could move left, so I think she has a plausible chance at a comeback if she decides to leave her current gig with University of California.

The governor-turned-Cabinet Secretary who I really hope runs for office again is Tom Vilsack. Granted he'll be 65 in 2016, but he seems like the best candidate to run against Chuck Grassley (who has said he'll run for re-election) in 2016.

Howard Dean and Tom Daschle were always the best choices for the post. And then an opening comes up and the still don't get the call.

Obama's mistake wasn't picking either Dean or Daschle for HHS.

Explains why Obama is very INCOMPETENT and the worst President ever.

I think cabinet posts should go to people like Matthews. I'd rather trust HHS to a former head of Management and Budget than a former Senator who happened to be a policy wonk on healthcare. The job is mostly administrative; they don't enact new laws, they enforce them.

He was going to pick Daschle, but he had trouble paying his taxes, so he withdrew on his own.

Please check your information before you judge something.

Obama's mistake was to delay the employer mandate. When the website that administration held in charge of, didn't work, it gave the critiques room to insist that the ACA should also be delayed.

Just like Susan Rice, she kept claiming administrative talking points that the numbers were on the rise during that slow period.

The enrollment are up, but the rollout cost the administration legislative time to enact tax reform or other economic achievements to fix the economy. Which is why the economy is still slow.

I'm thinking Sebelius will enjoy her retirement in Kansas.

Frankly, after the (only somewhat justified-it's not like she passed the ACA through a decree...) sh*tstorm that was directed at her, it's a well earned retirement.

It wasn't her administrative ability, it were her denials, repeated ones, that sunk her. Just like Susan Rice, they were taking in the administrative talking pts.

The rollout, not the law itself was the problem.
