Is there a senator willing to sponsor President DemPGH's amendment?

I think Lumine's on leave. Sigh.

Thanks, TNF, for picking this up!

I have no problems with the amendment even though I realize even if I did, I am powerless to stop anything Wink

Since Lumine is gone until the 20th I think, just slap hostile on it and proceed to a vote on the amendment. The vote will end before he gets back anyway.

AYE for the sake of restoring direction to the bill.

That said upon its completion, I reserve right for a final review and thus a final determination before deciding how to vote on the final vote. Tongue

Yeah, the purpose is to at least just get this back on track. When I was Gov. of the Pacific we debated buying computers for schools and it kind of devolved into Mac vs. PC and this system vs. that one and we eventually shelved it. There were also issues with cost. There really isn't a lot that can come from that debate because everyone will have different opinions on all of those details. It becomes a regress.

I hope this thing is close, and if anyone would want to tweak it (like spell out some criteria rather than trying to spend the money for them), we could, but I hope substantial overhauls won't be necessary at this point.

I think so, it appears to contain all the changes from the last amendment.

I agree with the President in regards to this bill not really needing any further changes, so at this stage we only need to see if there's any details left and then finally go for the final vote. It's certainly going to be expensive, but as I stated earlier in the debate, this is a good way of investing our money. Education projects may not seem fiscally sound to many at a first glance, but they can do a lot for the future of Atlasia.

Sections II to V have been already debated and we have solved the issue of wifi, computers, texbooks and responsibility, and with Section I already amendment and corrected in many places I wonder if there's anything else that we're missing here.
