Okay this is a tax incentive directly tied increase hiring so not of that cut and pray stuff that the left always accuses the right of trying to do.

Also, it includes a lending program to spur businesses as well. This was originally an idea of the now former Emperor PiT, who suggested something similar a few months ago. We have had similar lending programs, including one that I worked on with the great Marokai Blue way back in the day in 2009.

If there are any other details or questions I recommend asking President Duke for he is the artist who painted this masterpiece.

We might get to a point where we run out of stuff by Senators not at the clogging limit, which you know what happens then?

It goes away, the clogging limit was designed by people (SPC I think) who were forward thinking and forsaw that so if there are no other bills by other SEantors, the limit is removed.

I would support including the co-ops as potential recipients but to the exclusion of all others is a bridge too far in my view and won't provide the job creation assistance desired with this bill since the universe of potential jobs to be created, will be dominated by private sector business.

And I know the Senator disgrees, there is no inherent evil regarding for-profit business to justify excluding them, either. Tongue

So I object to the amendment.

Hostile since the administration seems to oppose it.

Number correction: This is Amendment 60:58 by shua not 57. Apparently one of TNF's didn't get added into the tracker correctly.

The amendment can be declared passed.

Remember Cincy to include thos missing two words in the text after the word, "eligible" since shua corrected it before the vote was commenced.

New and small businesses create most of the jobs, because once a company is up and running, the priority is cost cutting and doing the same with less. Also technology upgrades often are directly correlated wtih higher efficiency and few workers. Thus new and small business, create the most jobs.

NAY

If you wanted to limit the size of the new businesses in question that are eligible, there might be a number I can agree with.

So Duke, do you want a "small business" bank like Nix said or do you prefer the present structure?

Also, should we remove that tax as part of this act since it no longer serves a purpose? What was the tax on exactly and would it benefit employment to remove it?

If have introduced that as legislation, no? Would you be willing to attach it to either this or your long term unemployment bill?

You are presently pursuing repealing that tax as standalone legislation, correct?

Would you be game for attaching it to one of these job releated bills, and then provided it passes, withdraw the legislation?

Ah, no, it's easy to get confused.  I introduced legislation repealing the Break the Shell Corporations Act, not the Break the Chains Act.

As for this tax we are talking about, I think it should be lower at least, but I could also see using a smaller tax as a way to fund a loan program.

Okay so you game for an amendment that lowers the tax and redirects the remainder to the loan program?

I would be fine with it provided that of course there is not some other agency that is serving part of the same purpose and could be slated to also do this as well.

So I guess no one has any idea about an agency serving any of the same role, so we a go for reinstating the SBA?
