Senator, we've already reduced the work week in Atlasia, in addition to an enormous increase in the minimum wage.  This amendment is an attempt to change the entire purpose of this legislation.

We actually did have a Small Business Administration that was funded by the Chain Business Differential Tax by this law.   However it looks like in last years budget the SBA disappeared and the money from the tax was spent for other uses.

The SBA was eliminated with the executive branch reorganization last year.

Why?

I hate this thing we do sometimes where we create a tax specifically to fund a program, then abolish or underfund the program but keep the tax anyway.

Looking into it, it seems the aforementioned legislation only abolished it from the organizational structure of Internal affairs.  According to Nix it was eliminated beforehand, but as to where and when, he'd be more helpful in that..

Duke and I have discussed formatting a banking structure for both loan programs previously discussed.  Coordination is lacking however, in large part due to finals.  In any case, I think we've come to the agreement that we'd rather run the loan programs through a government run institution, rather than "to banks".
