I'm dubious. This is the sort of hack that exposes American companies and organizations to risk.  Protecting them is also an NSA function.  Given the nature of the bug, I doubt they'd think no one else could find it and the downside way exceeded the upside, even if you think having the US being able to spy more easily is of major importance.  If this is true, they goofed up big-time even if you aren't a civil liberty freak.
