Evan Bayh's a Governor now? And Indiana's now a swing state? Wow, you learn something new every day.

Susana Martinez is not interested, and why Sandoval? He's Pro Choice.

He was before he became a Senator.
Yeah, in the '80s.
I agree. A Walker/Pawlenty ,Walker/Portman, or Walker/Thune ticket would be formidable, four classic Midwesterners, they are the safest, experienced, low-risk, do-no-harm, ready on day one, but uninspiring. But uninspiring may be better for the GOP.

If a dark horse VP contender is needed for the Democrats:
Hillary Clinton/Dick Gephardt (Missouri's electoral votes may be needed, and Gephardt is vastly experienced, although the lobbying baggage may linger)

Hillary/Kaine vs. Kasich/McNorris Rogers

I think the GOP nominee will be someone currently under the radar. I don't think Jeb will run, Christie is too much of risk due to his legal problems, and Walker either underperforms or loses his reelection campaign. Kasich is recruited by the establishment.

Seriously...after that SOTU response?

They would be unfair, but the Palin comparisons would be immediate, widespread, and highly destructive.

I think McMorris Rodgers would be a "medium" pick, she may face problems though. Blackburn may be the safer pick, she's on TV all the time and she'll deliver the GOP message.

Clinton/Vilsack vs. Walker/Thune.

I see Hillary's final 4 VP Shortlist being: Kaine, Booker, Heinrich, Vilsack. She picks Vilsack because he has nothing to lose as in a Senate seat that Democrats need.

Walker's finals 4 VP shortlist: Martinez, Ayotte, Thune, and Rubio. Thune gets the nod because Walker needs someone with Congressional experience and gravitas.
