I get why people wanted the private businesses to stop discriminating. Let's say a Neo-Nazi walks into a Jewish owned business. Do you guys think the Jewish owner should still be forced to serve the Nazi?

I really hate this argument, even though it most often comes from my own side. The Civil Rights Acts prevent discrimination on the part of the business against clients based on their race, whereas the scenario you outlined involved discrimination on the part of the business against clients based on the client's prejudices against the business owner. Granted, both scenarios beg the question as to why the client would want to patronize the business in the first place.

I thought it prevented discrimination in general.
No.

The CRA in no manner shape or form would prohibit the Jewish owner in your scenario from giving the neo-Nazis the boot. One would have to be a truly dim bulb not to comprehend the difference.
