Exactly. Always when you think you know what will happen next, or who did this and that; something completely different and unexpected happens, and it looks that someone other did this and that. It's one of the reason I love this book (and TV) series.

Having read the books I can say that a lot of people will have no idea where the show is going by the end of season 4.

I have not read the book where the Purple Wedding occurs, but my understanding is that while the identities of Joffrey's killers are eventually made pretty clear, there is ambiguity as to how deep the conspiracy runs.  So it will be interesting to see what angle the show takes.  The entire wedding was very well executed by the cast and crew.

Note that the writers made Joff as unsympathetic as possible right up to the end.  The "War of the Five Kings" show he put on managed to be deeply offensive to almost all the major characters present at the Purple Wedding.  The all dwarf actors were an insult to Tyrion, the lampooning of Renly was an insult to Loras (his lover), Margaery (his queen), Brienne (his knight who was also rather in love with him) and Olenna, the mocking of Robb Stark's death was obviously terrible for Sansa.

She may, MAY, have been into it by the end, but she certainly wasn't at the start.  Just icky.

And Sam taking Jilly out of a bad situation where at least he was there, to a worse situation where he isn't even around.  Idiot.  That actually pissed me off more than the Jamie rape.
