Executive order #6912

I am appointing Simfan to the office of Attorney General.

Senators, you have up to 72 hours to question the appointee.

In my opinion, Simfan is an active Atlasian and I believe he is up to the crucial task of keeping the wiki updated. I have no questions as of now, and I support the nominee.

This is the first time we had a VP that I didn't have to give them step by step instructions on their first confirmation hearing.

The two biggest issues in order of importance are Duke's criminal behavior in office and updating the wiki.

One, do you plege to continue to keep Duke's illicit activities out of the public eye and therefore keep things running nice and smooth? Tongue

oh and, the wiki thing, how experienced are you at updating it? Do you have access to wiki still?

I have access to the Wiki, yes, and update it quite frequently. As Attorney-General I would continue to do so to the best of my ability.

Senator, I am befuddled as to your allegations of illicit activities on the behalf of the President. I know of known and therefore cannot keep them out of the public eye as, as far as I am concerned, there is nothing to conceal. And I shall keep it that way.

There are some in my constituency who have come to the opinion that you are hostile to the IDS or have some kind of hatred for the place. Is the case and if so why?

Perhaps it is because their legislature, as of late, has had a habit of promulgating laws of dubious constitutionality. I bear no ill will towards that region. If there is a region which I have shown hostility to in the past, it is the Midwest, but that has long, long subsided.

Does it serve the interest of the game to have cases for the AG and the Courts?

Of course it does. How could we function without courts, Senator?

I am not asking if Atlasia can live without court's but if the courts can live without cases brought before it.

There have been quite long periods without cases, and the supreme court has always been fine, so I'm not sure why this is a problem.

If need be, Senator, I will make work for them, but I don't think itwill be nnecessary for me to go needlessly out of my way.

My point was that rather then discouraging legislature from avoiding any gray area whatsoever, that instead we should be welcoming the opportunity both to achieve clarity and provide cases for the courts.

I would prefer a less... confrontational mode of interaction, Senator.

I think we all do, my point is that we need cases for the courts to serve a purpose. The game has to be considered.

I never sought controntation when I sued MaroDuke's ass over the Department Renaming Act, I just wanted clarification. And presuming confrontationalism on my part served only to hobble the defense. A court case need not be personal.

Will you be able to serve competently after your long absence from the game?

The maximum time for questioning the nominee has expired.  Senators, please vote Aye, Nay or Abstain on the confirmation of the nominee.

I don't see why not. The fundamentals have remained constant.
