Didn't he divorce his wife after sleeping with a news host?

But not before appending her name onto his, so his deed would remembered for all time.

He's a joke. He was a terrible mayor, has a lot of baggage, and would probably lose any primary should he attempt to run statewide, even if the establishment Dems are stupid to try to prop him up.

Whatever happened to the 30/10 Initiative? I admire vision like that.

He visited Iowa in 2012, and met with the Iowa delegation at the 2012 convention.  During his visit to Iowa, he did this interview:

However, since then, he hasn't done anything to indicate that he still has presidential ambitions.  Perhaps just because he now assumes that Clinton is going to run, and winning the nomination would be impossible.

Why should this have anything to do with politics?

Cathy McMorris-Rodgers at least is semi-competent at her job though. Villaraigosa never was!

He's not going to win, but I could see him running.

First, he's in his 60s and there isn't an immediate opening for the big statewide offices. And if there was, Gavin Newsom likely has better resources.

A presidential bid could raise his profile for later paydays. It would also make him a prominent spokesman for Hispanic Democrats, a welcome surrogate for the party in case Republicans nominate a Hispanic candidate for national office, or the Bush with the Mexican wife.

I suppose; my comparison more is that I believe they are both corrupt.

I doubt he even has a chance for CA Governor. He left the Mayor's office as a pretty unpopular guy.

LOL an unexperienced token for the Hispanic vote, just like all the talk about Julian Castro.

On paper, he has an adequate resume.

He was the leader of a state legislature in the most populous state in the country.

And he spent eight years as mayor of a city with most residents than Connecticut.
