Seeing some Representatives' interest in the bill, I'm going to make and grant motion to extend debate until 11PM on Saturday, April 19.

Thank you Mr. Speaker.

I'm opposed to the repeal of all portions of the Sbane Windfarm Act. I could perhaps buy into some modifications and see where compromise could be reached. And yeah I hate these omnibus bills. They are hard to debate because so mucb is going on. I don't think we have the permanent activity that requires us to rush through all of these even if some are moribund at this point.

What happens if the Assembly election is certified before we pass this bill? Do we just keep debating it?

The session doesn't end until the new Reps swear in IIRC. But we can always bring it up again.

The session ends on Wednesday night/midnight Thursday.  This will be resolved one way or the other before then, if it fails or the governor promptly signs it.  There might still be time for a veto override, if necessary.

I object. Does the Speaker have the power to rule this dilatory or something?

Anyway, I'm offering this amendment to address Representative Napoleon's concerns:

Can we combine Deus new amendment with sirnick's? I would vote for that.

Does this replace the bill or is it added to it?

Just use the open #4 space from Deus' amendment for sirnick's addition! Smiley

Have we reached a consensus on this?

If not, perhaps the best option would be tabling it and going back to the drawing board (Northeast Assembly.) But I'd expect the Nays to give their input in such a scenario.

Otherwise, I'd be happy to sign it. Napoleon is quite the devil!

I think we reached a consensus on what will be in the bill.  It may or may not have enough votes to pass.  We'll have to see after the debate period ends in 50 minutes.

The extended debate period is over.  It is time to vote on the bill, as amended:

By a 3-2 vote, the bill passes and goes to the governor for his signature or veto.
