What is your opinion of Cliven Bundy, a Nevada rancher who is recently in the news for refusing to pay bills to the U.S. government's Bureau of Land Management for his cattle grazing on federal lands, and is gaining supporters against the U.S.  government? Is he a hero for America, or a horrible, crazy man?

Oh man guys, he's an actual crazy person. I'd been catching the headlines about this story for a while but not really getting into the details. I finally read up on the background of his dispute with the government, and just for kicks I ended up reading the district court case in which he was originally ordered off the land back in 1998. He is bonkers.

Hilarious, and dangerous. The goofy old man doesn't recognize the federal government (but still attempts to defend himself in federal courts) and claims state and county law are above federal law. Yet his actions break county and state laws.. the recognition of federal land is in constitution of Nevada.. the failure of the government to crack down on him twenty years ago is the only thing giving him legitimacy in the eyes of libertarians and gunsuckers.

He's ridiculous and will really feel the will of the people eventually.
