1. Senator Marco Rubio 55.4%
2. Former Representative Allen West 44.6%
Analysis/Background: Senator Marco Rubio has survived a strong primary challenge by former Representative Allen West. Allen West was running a grass-root campaign backed by the Tea Party. Rubio once used to be the beloved figure of the Republican Party but lost his popularity when he worked with President Obama on trying to pass Immigration Legislation, most recently in 2015. Rubio was believed to be a candidate for the Republican Nomination, but he decided not to run for reelection. Rubio will take on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz in what looks like a close election.
